I'm Back...kind of...

Is anyone still watching..?  Wow, it's literally been years that I've been away from here.  A lot has happened in that time, including working in music again and the birth of my beautiful daughter, but one thing that has remained constant is my passion for photography.  In fact I have become a much better photographer than I was when I last submitted work here.  It's funny really - I thought I was good back then, but I really wasn't.  I had the vision, I believe, but lacked the technical skill.

Viewing my gallery now, I see the work there as the results of my first faltering steps, climbing the learning curve – a series of valuable lessons, of which there have been many more.

Whilst I am still interested in all kinds of portraiture, I am now much more focussed on landscapes, ancient landscapes and monuments to be more precise.  I love the unique atmosphere of those places.

So…is anyone still there?  Is it worth me showing you what I am producing now?  I'm testing the water here, in order to see whether I should return or close down my account.  It would be great to hear from my old DA friends, as well as new ones.
